Pass Phrase Encryption:

Pass phrase is encrypted using several methods that are not reversable (like a dividend or remainder or modulus).   Every encrypted pass phrase is fixed 66 characters long (base 86).
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz 0123456789 )(][}{><+-.,:;#$?!=~/^_
Pass phrase is never stored in a cookie or used in a URL - even if it is stolen, it is not reversable to the original pass phrase.   One of the many encryption layers is "Blowfish with salt". The encrypted pass phrase is stored in a physically different place to all other authentication data.

Email Policy:

Email has a restricted ASCII character set as lower case and numbers with predictable symbols as: underscore, hyphen and period (base 39).   Every email is split into two parts before and after the at symbol - this enables long email addresses to be saved in two 32 character fields.   Split email addresses make it easy to search, filter and sort by domain name.

International UTF-8 characters (including Chinese) are pending.

Email Encryption:

Email addresses for authorised people are encrypted and stored in a pair of cookies.   Each email address must be unique.   This data is retrieved from the cookie and automatically entered into the sign-in email field.   The encryption methods are reversable from cookie data that has a fixed length of 66 digits.
