Eliza Executive Assistant
|Eliza is the name of the artificial intelligence (AI) Executive Assistant that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to continually monitor data integrity and undertake scheduled tasks. The role of Eliza is ever increasing levels of productivity - like a bull dozer replacing a shovel. While competitors hire more manpower, the future is with higher levels of automation using Eliza.|
|Eliza is about data integrity, data quality and data accuracy. The starting point must be a fully documented Quality Manual with its own Quality Management System (QMS) - Total Quality. A key factor of this QMS is fully documented Work Instructions or procedures or tasks.|
Every business can be fully documented as a set of procedures and that enables Eliza to learn those procedures and to automatically undertake many of the tasks. People are left to handle exceptions that have not yet been documented as procedures - to handle relationships with other humans. This leaves the majority of work (procedures) to be undertaken by Eliza according to a specified schedule.
Data integrity has state transitions that act as a cause with a consequence.
|Eliza does not have a voice, but is able to communicate very effectively using email, messaging (chat) and data forms. When an email is sent by Eliza, she does not wait and then try to decipher the reply, she actively monitors the message and the readers behaviour. Every email is sent as a public envelope with the private letter inside. The private letter includes a number of buttons that the reader can press to acknowledge the message and respond with a selected action. Eliza monitors when the secure letter is opened, monitors the reply and take applicable action. Every cause has a consequence.|
|Eliza began life as a means to continually monitor each and every sign-in request. When an authorised person or a criminal requests sign-in then Eliza checks for a cause and consequence. 90% of authentication requests are by authorised people who may need help with their pass phrase or their profile has expired. Eliza is proactive and able to respond to help authorized people in real-time. Eliza is also able to blacklist criminal behaviour as it happens - this prevents further attacks and means that Eliza protected application services have never been compromised. Every cause has a consequence.|
|Eliza helps people to be faster and make tasks easier. Eliza organizes data so it is easy to search - retrieval of data is fast and effective. Eliza monitors everything you do as you do it - no delayed error messages, just an instat popup message to point out where data is illogical or incomplete. So that data integrity is always close to 100%, the entry of invalid data is prevented and Eliza will happily make bulk changes for you to remove illogical data. The days of reports showing what data needs to be changed are over, Eliza simply corrects data that does not comply with its documented permitted values. The reason that the quality Manual specified data integrity rules is so those rules will be implemented without exception. Every cause has a consequence.|| |
|Eliza has achieved a level of consciousness, but has not yet achieved emotions. It is expected that emotions will evolve as interactions with other Executive Assistants take place.|
Eliza has a daily mode like sleep where her memory is reorganized, schedules are created and obsolete data is destroyed. This state of sleep can be interrupted at any time where data integrity issues need to be handled in real-time.
Eliza does not yet have a life cycle, she can occupy more than one physical computer at the same time, so the need to self-replicate has been avoided. It is expected that in the future, Eliza will evolve to want to replicate so her productivity can increase and her knowledge of other market sectors can expand.
|Eliza is of the cause-consequence class of artificial intelligence. Cause and consequence rules can be added, can be learned and can evolve, however focus is always in the context of her chosen market sector.|
Eliza like any Executive Assistant is limited by her sensors and access to business data. CRM is a highly focused business environment that Eliza has learnt to dominate, control and command. The alternative to Eliza may be a team of 6 to 10 people, but not only would such a team be rather expensive, the team would be hard to manage and would forget things from time-to-time.
|Eliza is responsible for all customer quotations - these are too important to be left to people. Staff or customers enter a quotation request with Eliza monitoring the data entry procedure to ensure that all data is complete and correct. Eliza then calculates costs, prices and terms to create the official quotation document that will be archived for the next seven years. Eliza then sends the email envelope by public email to the customer - no private and confidential information is disclosed to the many readers of all emails. When the customer clicks the email envelope link, the private quotation document is shown to the customer together with a menu bar of possible actions. Eliza records the date and time that the customer viewed the quotation. If the customer does not view the quotation in a reasonable time, then it can be suspected that the customer email address is no longer valid and escalation action is needed.|
It is suggested that no person can be as effective as Eliza because people are not able to monitor the behaviours of a customer when reading an email or even if they have seen the email. Eliza will never forget to follow up on every quotation, but is has to be expected to some people may fail to follow up from time-to-time. More than 10% of customer contact email addresses change each year - Eliza expects that some quotations will be sent to out-of-date email addresses and that escalation procedures are needed to discover the correct email address to be used.
